Welham GirlsÆ began humbly with just ten students, nestled in a palatial estate named ôNasreenö adjacent to its brother school. H.S. Oliphant, after founding Welham BoysÆ, envisioned a parallel nurturing school for girls. Grace Mary Linnel, the schoolÆs founder principal, led its early years with strong schoolsal ideals until 1970 and was later honored with the Padma Shri in recognition of her contributions to Indian schools.
